Hero
I chose Jack Bauer as an American hero because he is the star of the hit TV series 24 and consistently risks his life to save the American people. After 9/11, we knew our lives would never be the same. We knew we were now at war with a group of people terrorizing the world and targeting the United States. Jack Bauer is the only man who can handle that pressure.
I was at my 7th grade lunch table when rumors started to circulate that something was wrong. The teachers never told us anything but the only thing I heard of was a plane crash. Although Jack only primarily deals with the West Coast, these attacks impact the rest of the country and ultimately the world. Jack Bauer never forgets he’s risking his life not only to save a person here or there, but millions of people. If he falls, the end of our country is near. Jack gives the American people faith because he doesn’t leave anything unsolved and will do anything to solve the crisis. Jack Bauer’s message to America is have no fear. He is the perfect example of what a post 9/11 hero should be.
